Fall Asleep Fast Without Snoring

Snoring can be a pain. You lose sleep, torture anyone sleeping near you and experience a quality of sleep that definitely leaves room for improvement. Bad sleep leads to a number of problems, including health issues, irritability and, of course, fatigue. You don’t have to sleep in a separate room to spare the person you love from your snoring. You can also try a number of these snoring cures to give yourself some relief at night.

Losing weight is one of the easiest ways to quit snoring and may help most people. If your snoring is mild to moderate and you are overweight, your size may be the culprit of your snoring. Why does extra weight cause snoring? Because fatty tissue builds up at the back of your throat.

Sleeping on your side is another one of the most common snoring cures. Sleeping on your side will most likely help you if you snore when sleeping on your back and your snoring isn’t severe. You can try the tennis ball trick if you’re interested in learning to sleep on your back: attach a tennis ball to the back of your pajama top so that when you’re asleep, rolling over onto your back will become so uncomfortable you’ll train yourself to quickly sleep on your side instead.

Avoiding a number of foods, as well as medication and alcohol, may also help you. Many things can make your tongue and throat too relaxed. This, in turn, makes snoring more likely to occur. Sleeping pills, tranquilizers and alcohol all relax your body and should be avoided before bed. Milk and soy milk products should be avoided as well because they cause mucus in your throat.

These snoring cures can be effective for most people, although they aren’t a sure bet. Sometimes surgery is needed, while other times there are effective snoring products that can clear up the problem.
