Good Sleep Tips – Effective Ways to Get Better Sleep
For some people getting a good nights sleep is incredibly hard. I used to have massive problems getting and staying asleep and used to spend most of my day hours worrying about my lack of sleep.
In this article i will share some simple tips to that helped me turn around my sleep levels and helped me improve the quality of my life.
Develop a Routine
One of the most important factors that contributes to how well we sleep is maintaining a regular sleeping pattern.
If you have ever experienced jet lag then you will know first hand how your body can struggle to get the right amount of sleep when your routine is interrupted, if only for one night.
Try going to sleep at the same time every evening for two weeks. Don’t just restrict this to mid week, do so at the weekend too. By the end of the two week period you should notice that you are sleeping better, and are less tired during the day. Your body like regularity.
Quality of Sleep
If you have ever spent the night sleeping on a plane or a train where you are constantly dozing, waking up and nodding off again you’ll know that quality of sleep is important to feeling well rested.
Sleeping in a dark, quiet room will greatly improve the quality of your sleep. Being able to sleep uninterrupted means your body is able to move through the various stages of sleep. This in turn means you get all of the different kinds of rest your body needs.
Balance Comfort and Support
Ensuring you have a good quality bed to sleep on is crucial to getting a good nights sleep. Everyone is different and there is no ‘perfect bed’ that will work for everyone. When choosing a bed you need to find a good balance between comfort and support. Always spend as much as you can on a mattress as you’ll be spending up to 40% of you life on it!
